Hatakeyama Memorial Museum of Fine Art

Hatakeyama Memorial Museum of Fine Art was established in 1964 by industrialist Issey Hatakeyama, who was an avid art collector. The museum aims to preserve Japanese, Chinese and Korean art objects and has a particular focus on items related to tea ceremony. Exhibitions change every few months, and matcha green tea is served to visitors with a traditional confection in tea ceremony style. The museum is situated in the centre of a beautiful traditional Japanese garden.
