The Reggio School of Tokyo

The Reggio School Tokyo (RST) is a school community where children’s curiosity, creativity, and individuality are at the heart of learning.
RST is a preschool-kindergarten for ages 1 to 7 years old, with additional programs for our graduates in elementary.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, RST believes every child is capable, full of potential, and eager to explore the world.
Classrooms are designed as spaces alive with projects, play, and collaboration. Teachers act as guides and co-learners. Utilizing an incredibly in-depth documentation system, teachers observe and support each child’s journey, valuing their individuality.

Located in the heart of Shibuya, RST brings together international families and local communities in an environment that celebrates diversity and connection. The school nurtures not only knowledge but also creativity, empathy, and critical thinking—qualities that prepare children for a future that cannot yet be imagined.
