cancer institute building (Medium)
Cancer Institute Hospital is Japan’s first and largest hospital specializing in cancer care. Its Screening Center offers examinations not simply for confirmation of overall health status but focusing on the prevention and the early detection of cancer. The examinations are highly accurate and reliable, as they are conducted by skillful staff with a great deal of experience with cancer detection.

The Hospital also offers the largest number of surgeries of any institution in Japan. It offers high levels of minimally-invasive treatment (such as laparoscopic surgery, therapeutic endoscopy, and “LECS: Laparoscopy and Endoscopy Cooperative Surgery”), which helps patients by decreasing postoperative pain and allowing speedy recovery.

Cancer Institute Hospital and Screening Center has an International Service Section to support foreign patients so that they can smoothly receive high quality treatment without language and cultural barriers. Staff in this section respond to various inquiries, arrange appointments, and offer interpretation and translation services.
