Located in the highlands and spanning across four prefectures, Oze is a national park consisted of a marshland, lake, and 2,000-meter-class mountains. The vast marshland, home to a variety of flora and fauna, is particulary popular among trekkers from mid-May through late October, and a hike up one of the mountains provide a grand view of the highland basin. Because winter here gets very cold with deep snow and temperatures going down as -30C, only very few experienced hikers take on the challenge to enter the area.
